Enjoy an intimate and action-packed Zodiac whale watching tour with Cabo Expeditions. Board your boat and head out on your educational Cabo adventure – we know the best spots where to watch whales! Your experienced captain will show you why Cabo is “the” place for humpback whale watching. The Sea of Cortez hosts numerous whale species each season, from gray whales and sperm whales to the elusive blue whales – plus dolphins and even orcas. Get your camera – you’ll want to record your experience of a lifetime: whale watching Cabo style.
Ever wondered why whales migrate down to the tip of Baja and how far they travel? Are you curious why whales breach? Or how long the average whale lives? Many of your questions will be answered during this adventurous and educational tour.
At Cabo Expeditions, we do it right. We keep the tours small to give you a more intimate, personalized experience. These are not big-boat whale tours crammed with 30, 50 or 100+ other guests. We use high-performance Zodiacs, inflatable boats renowned for being stable and seaworthy. With a maximum of 15 guests to a boat, you can more easily interact with the guide and the whales.
Once your guide spots a humpback or other species of whale, our 24-foot zodiac whale-watching boats get you there quickly. We approach the whales quietly so as not to disturb them. We will maneuver the boat into place so you can get some great photographs and experience the whales like never before. En route, you will pass Land´s End, the Arch, Lovers’ Beach and the Sea Lion Colony. If time allows, we’ll pause for a photo opportunity.
Cabo Expeditions is the pioneer in the whale-watching tour business in Cabo San Lucas, with over 15 years’ experience. We sponsor, support and participate in numerous conservation efforts. To us, this is not a job, but a way of life.
So if you are looking for a professional, safety-conscious, more intimate experience, then join our action-packed Zodiac Whale Watching Adventure at Cabo Expeditions.

There are over 80 varieties of Cetacea — whales, dolphins and porpoises in the world; and over 20 varieties can be found off Cabo San Lucas. An orca or killer whale is not a whale. The largest animal ever on the planet is the blue whale, whose heart is the size of a small car. Although occurring less than 1% of the time, whales can have twins.
